§ Mrs. ChalkerOur aid programme aims to benefit children by supporting broad-based development, including giving families the opportunities to increase their incomes. In addition, our aid for mother and child health improvements, for enhancing the role of women in development, for giving people the opportunity to have children by choice not chance, and for the education sector has a direct impact on the well-being of children. Earmarking a share of the aid programme for children has not been needed to carry these policies forward.
