Which British officials visited Lhasa at the beginning of July; what offices they held; what were the dates of the visit; and whether the party was accompanied by an independent Tibetan translator.

Two First Secretaries from the political section of the British Embassy in Peking visited Tibet between 24th June and 2nd July. They were accompanied by an official of the local foreign affairs bureau who was a Tibetan national.
