§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonThe amounts of housing support grant paid to the four local authorities referred to are shown in the tables. Before 1979–80, Exchequer support for local authority housing was provided under a variety of schemes, the details of which could not be provided except at disproportionate cost. The tables exclude subsidy paid to local authorities in respect of rent rebates.
