HL Deb 11 March 1991 vol 527 c1WA
Lord Hylton

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will seek international agreement on an embargo on the export of arms and ammunition by South Africa.

The Earl of Caithness:

There is already an international agreement to which the British Government adhere—UN Security Council Resolution 558 of 1984 banning imports of arms, ammunition and military vehicles from South Africa.
