§ 19. Mrs. Currie
To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what progress is being made to ensure the retention of British border controls against rabies.

§ Mr. Maclean
The Community measures adopted so far allow for the retention of post-import quarantine for dogs, cats and other rabies-susceptible animals.
The Government's objective is to ensure that there is no increased risk of rabies being introduced into this country after 1992.
