To ask the Secretary of State for Employment (1) what consultation has taken place with prospective applicant bodies in the preparation of the United Kingdom operational programme for the now initiative; and if he will make a statement;

(2) what consultation has taken place with prospective applicant bodies in the preparation of the United Kingdom operational programme for the horizon programme; and if he will make a statement;

(3) what consultation has taken place with prospective applicant bodies in the preparation of the United Kingdom operational programme for the Euroform initiative; and if he will make a statement.

Formal consultation will begin shortly. The European Commission supplied the relevant financial information only in mid-April, four months after the initiative was announced. The Commission has therefore extended its original 30 June deadline for the submission by the member states of the required operational programme.
