To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if, pursuant to his answer of 12 March,Official Report, column 437, he will make a statement about progress made by the Saudi Arabian Government in tracing British citizens missing since the tunnel disaster at Mecca on 2 July 1990.

The British embassy in Riyadh continues to press the Saudi Arabian authorities vigorously for news of progress towards the identification of the three missing British nationals from among the unidentified victims of the tunnel disaster of 2 July 1990.

I shall write to the hon. Member as soon as the embassy has received a response.
