To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will estimate the number of people claiming(a) one-parent benefit and (b) the widowed mother's allowance who are taxpayers.

In 1991–92 it is estimated that 280,000 taxpayers will claim one-parent benefit and 35,000 taxpayers will claim widowed mother's allowance.
