Whether they will identify the experts who have been consulted by the Department of Education and Science on (a) spelling and (b) examination problems.

Baroness Blatch:

The body with statutory responsibility for advising my right honourable and learned friend on school examinations is the School Examinations and Assessment Council (SEAC); the Department of Education and Science routinely consults SEAC on examination and assessment issues, and is currently awaiting its further advice on spelling.
