§ Mr. SheermanTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether, in the light of new evidence submitted to the Home Office on 13 July in regard to the conviction of Winston Silcott for the murder of PC Keith Blakelock in 1985, he will consider referring the conviction of Silcott to the Court of Appeal.
§ Mr. John PattenThe representations, which were received in the Home Office on 15 July, are now being considered by my right hon. Friend the Home Secretary. He will reach a decision as soon as possible.
