HC Deb 24 July 1991 vol 195 c596W
Mr. Wilson

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what representations he has received from the Advertising Standards Authority and the Gaming Board about advertisements published by UK Charity Lotteries Ltd.

Mr. Peter Lloyd

We and the Gaming Board have been concerned that some aspects of UK Charity Lotteries Ltd.'s advertising campaign do not satisfy the requirements of the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976. The board has referred this matter to the Director of Public Prosecutions, whose advice is awaited. We have not received representations from the Advertising Standards Authority.
