§ Mr. Nicholas BennettFor 1991–92 no budgetary allocations apply or have been made by the Department for mandatory home renovation grants at the level of individual districts. At the all-Wales level £77 million has been earmarked for mandatory grants and grant-related assistance, including grants approved under the House Act 1985 prior to June 1990, further resources will be made available if necessary. A further £10 million has been made available for expenditure on discretionary grants and allocated as detailed in the table. Support is provided in major part by direct capital grant: the remainder is funded from borrowing sanctioned by credit approval.
