HC Deb 09 July 1991 vol 194 c342W
Mr. Flynn

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what is his latest assessment of the effects on British service men of chemical and biological reagents released in Iraq during the recent hostilities.

Mr. Archie Hamilton

The tactics used in attacking Iraqi chemical and biological facilities during the Gulf conflict were designed to minimise the risk of contamination outside the sites. We are not aware of any releases of chemical or biological reagents in Iraq outside such facilities.
