To ask the Secretary of State for Transport how many fatal injuries have been recorded on the M4 in each of the last 10 years.

The number of people killed each year on the M4 motorway during the seven years 1983 to 1989, the period for which figures are readily available, was respectively: 29, 19, 24, 39, 33, 28 and 24.
