§ Mr. KeyThe amount of revenue support grant received by each authority depends on its standard spending assessment—the Government's view of the appropriate amount of revenue expenditure for each local authority. The SSAs are based on a number of indicators including resident population, population aged under 1856W years and school pupils and students. Full details are given in the "Revenue Support Grant Distribution Report (England)" which is in the Library. No separate account is taken of the numbers of people who move between authorities each year, but the information used is the most up to date available on a consistent basis for all authorities.

§ Mr. KeyRevenue funding in respect of social services provided by local authorities for children and adults suffering mental handicap is based on the children's social services and the other social services standard spending assessments. Details of these formulae are given in he "Revenue Support Grant Distribution Report (England)" which is in the Library.
