HC Deb 01 July 1991 vol 194 c67W
Mr. Ieuan Wyn Jones

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security how many representations he has received concerning the Disabled Persons (Services, Representation and Consultation) Act 1986 since March 1991; and how many have objected to the non-implementation of sections 1, 2 and 3 and the delaying of section 7.

Mr. Dorrell

I have been asked to reply.

Between 1 March 1991 and 26 June 1991 we received 212 letters concerning our decision not to implement sections 1, 2 and 3 of the Disabled Persons Act, two of which also referred to section 7. One letter was also received on the matter of section 7 only. The Act was also the subject of seven parliamentary questions during this period.
