§ Mr. Ieuan Wyn JonesTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Security how many representations he has received concerning the Disabled Persons (Services, Representation and Consultation) Act 1986 since March 1991; and how many have objected to the non-implementation of sections 1, 2 and 3 and the delaying of section 7.
§ Mr. DorrellI have been asked to reply.
Between 1 March 1991 and 26 June 1991 we received 212 letters concerning our decision not to implement sections 1, 2 and 3 of the Disabled Persons Act, two of which also referred to section 7. One letter was also received on the matter of section 7 only. The Act was also the subject of seven parliamentary questions during this period.
