§ Mr. Lennox-BoydMy right hon. Friend met the Iraqi president on 24 February 1988 to discuss regional and bilateral issues, and to deliver a message from the Prime Minister about British prisoners in Iraq. The president agreed to the release of Mr. John Smith, then in prison in Baghdad.
