§ Mr. ChopeDuring the many discussions between my Department and ecological and conservation interests, there have been no suggestions or evidence of badger activity in the vicinity of the proposed route for the final section of the M3 motorway at Winchester. A habitat survey will be carried out this spring and if evidence of badger activity is found appropriate measures including the need for crossings will be considered.
