§ Mr. Lennox-BoydWe are seeking details of the specific cases referred to by the hon. Member. We have raised our concerns over the treatment of Catholics in China on a number of occasions. Together with our European partners, we made representations about the imprisonment of Catholics in China in February 1990. My hon. Friend the then Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, also raised this with the Chinese Government during his visit to Peking in July.
