asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they have made representations to the USSR, and if so with what result, following the theft of a large sum of money by Soviet forces from three British journalists in Lithuania; and if not why not.

The British Embassy in Moscow has not made formal representations as the journalists concerned have not asked them to.

The Embassy has however expressed our concern over the incident to the Soviet authorities.
