To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will make a statement on waiting lists in Leicestershire.

Between March 1979 and March 1991 the number of patients waiting for in-patient admission has fallen by 15 per cent. from 10,834 to 9,236. Over the same period the number waiting over one year has fallen by 59 per cent. from 2,875 to 1,187.
