§ Mr. Lennox-BoydThe evidence that led to charges against two Libyan officials resulted from one of the most painstaking and exhaustive inquiries ever undertaken. A detailed statement of the facts has been passed to the Libyan authorities in support of our demand for the surrender of the two accused. The Lord Advocate's statement on 14 November, and our own joint statements with our United States and French partners on 27 November, made our position absolutely clear. The Libyans know what they are required to do. It is now up to them to respond.
