HC Deb 03 December 1991 vol 200 cc106-7W
Mr. Trotter

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport whether British Rail has yet advised him of the pattern of its proposals for passenger services to the north of London from the continent after the opening of the channel tunnel.

Mr. Freeman

I am aware that British Rail is having to consider some adjustments to its proposals, published in accordance with section 40 of the Channel Tunnel Act 1987, for channel tunnel passenger services north of London, but it is still discussing its plans with its continental railway partners and the manufacturers. I should expect BR to publish in due course any revisions to its "Section 40 plan".
