To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many representations he has received on local government and constitutional reform in Wales.

Several, some in favour of reform and some against.

26. Mr. Simon Hughes

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will make a statement on the conclusions he has reached in relation to the reorganisation of local government in Wales.

Mr. David Hunt

I have reached no conclusions. I propose to issue, early in the summer, a consultation paper identifying the factors which would need to be borne in mind in considering any reorganisation.
