HL Deb 29 April 1991 vol 528 c16WA
Lord Tordoff

asked Her Majesty's Government:

How many complaints were received by the Traffic Commissioners concerning registered state carriage bus services not operating to schedule in 1990; of those how many were investigated; and how many resulted in action being taken with the operator concerned.

The Minister of State, Department of Transport (Lord Brabazon of Tara)

From 1st April to 31st December 1990 the Traffic Commissioners received 221 complaints from bus operators and local authorities and 652 complaints from members of the public about various aspects of local bus services. It would involve disproportionate expense to obtain information on how many concerned bus service schedules or on the type of action taken.
