The Minister of State, Home Office (Earl Ferrers)The enforcement of road traffic law, including speed limits, is an operational matter for individual chief officers of police. The Road Traffic Bill at present before this House introduces a new system for the enforcement of certain road traffic offences, including breaches of speed limits, using unmanned detection devices.
