HL Deb 15 April 1991 vol 527 c77WA
Lord Kennet

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they intend that the Gulf Crisis Financial Co-ordination Group should compen-sate those Palestinians who are now not to be allowed by the restored Kuwait Government to remain in Kuwait regardless of their period of residence in that country and other contribution to its prosperity.

The Earl of Caithness:

The Gulf Crisis Financial Co-ordination Group was established to assess the needs of and monitor economic assistance to the countries most directly affected by the Gulf crisis. As such it is not a suitable forum in which to consider compensation to individuals who have suffered from Iraq's invasion of Kuwait.
