To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he has any proposals to eliminate delays and duplication in export licence application procedures.

Mr. Sainsbury

Export licence procedures are kept under constant review.

We are not aware of any avoidable delays and duplication. Individual complaints such as that recently made by the hon. Member are fully investigated.
