§ Mr. David HuntInformation collected centrally for local authorities relates in general to the category new construction and works, which includes renovation work. The only area of local authority capital expenditure where separate information is available for construction alone is the building of dwellings, figures for which are shown in the following tables. Information for 1979–80 and 1980–81 was not collected on a comparable basis and is therefore not included.
