To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will take steps to ensure that the Government honour United Nations and European conventions on the right of all children to education.

The legal obligations upon the Government, local education authorities and parents in this country are such as to ensure that the provisions of United Nations and European conventions to which we are party are met.
