To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science what representations he has received recently about his plans for introducing assessment of pupils undertaking the national curriculum.

Mrs. Rumbold

The Department has received this year a number of representations about the implementation of the national curriculum assessment arrangements, including from headteachers, teachers, parents and other interested individuals and organisations.
