§ Mr. AtkinsThe national roads programme, announced recently in "Trunk Roads, England—Into the 1990s," includes 45 schemes under construction and over 500 in preparation.
§ 54. Mr. AshtonTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport how many miles of motorway have had their construction started since 1981; and how many miles have been started since.
§ Mr. AtkinsA total of 235 miles of new or widened motorway have been completed since April 1981. Seventy-one miles are currently under construction.
