To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what percentage of all junior hospital doctors in the National Health Service in the whole of Wales work within the South Glamorgan health authority area.

As at 30 September 1988, a total of 30 per cent. of junior hospital doctors (whole-time equivalents) in post in the NHS in Wales were employed by South Glamorgan health authority. Junior hospital doctors includes the grades of house officer, senior house officer, registrar, senior registrar, associate specialist and senior hospital medical officer.
