Mr. Flynn

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what assessments under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations have been undertaken at all workplaces used by civil servants in his Department.

My Department's policy is to provide a safe working environment and safe methods of work that are without risk to the health and safety of its employees. Under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 1988 (COSHH) my Department has assessed departmental working environments and found no instances of significant exposure to a hazardous substance.
