§ Mr. Heathcoat-AmoryThe measurement of viruses in bathing water identified under directive 76/160/EEC is a matter for the competent authority, which in England and Wales is the National Rivers Authority. The available results for the 1989 bathing season are in the report placed in the Library on 25 January (Official Report, c. 785.).
