§ 37. Mr. Colin ShepherdTo ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what advice he is giving to district valuation officers in respect of the valuation for the purposes of assessing the business rateable value of village shops.
§ Mr. RyderValuation officers are required to determine the rateable value of village shops having regard to the provisions of the Local Government Finance Act 1988. An estimate has to be made of the rent at which the property might reasonably be expected to be let from year to year.
