§ Mr. Corbyn
To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will take steps to ensure that women going into temporary accommodation will have the choice of accommodation with high security and women only if that is what they wish.
§ Mr. Michael Spicer
The choice of temporary accommodation made available to any household accepted as homeless under the homelessness legislation is a matter for each local authority. Local authorities should seek to ensure that the type of accommodation offered is appropriate to the circumstances of each individual household.
