Why the United Kingdom does not participate as a subscriber to the Inter-American Investment Corporation and whether they propose to rectify this omission.

There are many competing demands on available aid resources and difficult choices have to be made. We decided against membership of the Inter-American Investment Corporation because we wish to contain the overall proportion of our aid going through multilateral channels.
