To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what measures he is considering to accelerate the removal of toxic land from the land register.

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment is considering various possibilities to accelerate the removal of contaminated land from the land register. Any firm proposals would be the subject of consultation.
