Mr. Battle

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, pursuant to his answer of 8 May,Official Report, columns 15–16, if he will break down the figures of United Kingdom bilateral aid to Malaysia for the years 1985 to 1988, including details of individual projects funded, amounts and dates of contracts and negotiations.

The personnel covered sectors such as geological surveys, demography, industrial development and English language teaching. The main fields covered by training were artificial limbs technology, road engineering, business management, foreign investment, demography and English language teaching.
