§ Mr. SainsburyIn a decisive rejection of the repressive policies of the current regime, the National League for Democracy won a massive victory in the election on 27 May. We welcome this, and are doing all we can to ensure that the regime gives effect to the clearly expressed wishes of the Burmese people by handing over power and releasing detained political leaders immediately.
