What continuing purpose is served by the six-monthly White Paper on developments in the European Community.

The production of the six-monthly White Paper was one of the first measures introduced to provide for parliamentary scrutiny of Community affairs. It continues to serve a useful purpose in summarising, in one document, the developments within the European Community during the period covered by each presidency.
