§ Mr. Michael ForsythIn Scotland the main responsibility for promotion of health education and prevention of ill health lies with the Scottish health education group. It currently expects to spend about £297,000 on antismoking material and campaigns during the current financial year—an increase of £17,000 over its original estimate for the year. The Scottish committee for Action on Smoking and Health will receive grant-in-aid of £40,000 in 1989-90. Both organisations undertake anti-smoking initiatives directed at teenagers.
