I am most grateful for the many valuable comments received from a wide range of interests on this proposed advice on the preparation of indicative forestry strategies by regional authorities in Scotland. This confirms the value of these strategies as a framework for future decision-making on forestry planting. The final version of the circular and related technical advice, taking into account the comments received, will be issued shortly. A copy will be placed in the Library.
