To ask the Minister for the Arts whether he has met the chairman of the Museums and Galleries Commission to discuss the Education, Science and Arts Select Committee's report on charging for admission to national museums.

Mr. Luce

I meet the chairman of the Museums and Galleries Commission on a regular basis to discuss matters of mutual interest. I have not met him since the Select Committee's report was issued on 10 January 1990.

I am studying the report and will issue a response in the near future.
