Whether they will state the amounts of financial assistance, both capital and revenue, which have been made available since 1979 to (i) London and the South East; and (ii) the rest of the United Kingdom.

Information on central government financial assistance by region is not readily available. Grants in aggregate are published inThe Government's Expenditure Plans 1990–91 to 1992–93 and the information in this publication relating to local authorities in the UK is as follows:
