To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what progress his Department has made on proposals that would lead to the removal of inefficient police officials; and if he will make a statement.

This issue is still under consideration by a committee of the Police Advisory Board. I expect it to be discussed at the committee's next meeting on 15 November.
