HC Deb 23 October 1989 vol 158 c328W
Dr. Godman

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment how many sufferers of dyslexia were assessed as registered disabled persons and had their names entered in the registered disabled persons' register in each of the past seven years; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Eggar

I regret that this information is available only at disproportionate cost. People who suffer from dyslexia are eligible to register as disabled under the Disabled Persons (Employment) Act 1944. They are also eligible to receive help from the special schemes and services provided for people with disabilities by the employment service and the Training Agency.
