To ask the Secretary of State for Employment when he will now make a decision on the future of the construction industry training boards.

I refer the hon. Member to the answer given to him on 20 July 1989. Consultations with the board and organisations representing employers have now been completed. My right hon. Friend hopes to be in a position to make an announcement shortly.
