To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment on how many occasions since 1979 a request to call in a planning application from(a) the Nature Conservancy Council and (b) the Countryside Commission has been refused; and if he will list such occasions, together with the reasons for not calling in, and the principal requests received on those occasions from other persons and bodies.
